A private 1.7 km forest trail winds through towering trees and dense understory, offering opportunities to spot howler and capuchin monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, and occasionally even a tapir. The surrounding landscapes include views of Montezuma, the third peak of the Tenorio Volcano, often shrouded in mist, and to the west, the five peaks of Miravalles Volcano create a dramatic backdrop.

The lodge’s elevation and location contribute to a cool, spring-like climate year-round, with temperatures generally ranging from 64°F to 86°F (18°C to 30°C) and a steady breeze that adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy expansive views from nearly every area of the property, including from the lodge’s dining area, which serves creative, locally inspired meals using fresh regional ingredients.

Accommodations include 18 rooms across two floors, each with southwest-facing views and a simple, comfortable design.
