Cerro Lodge offers Standard and Superior rooms, with a choice of ceiling fans or air conditioning. All rooms include private bathrooms with hot water (some open-air), garden views, and a small terrace. There are no TVs or phones in rooms, keeping the focus on nature. Meals are served in an open-air restaurant with forest views, and the kitchen can accommodate vegetarian and special diets with prior notice.
The lodge grounds include native gardens, a short trail network, and a basic viewing platform. Flowering and fruiting trees attract hummingbirds, flycatchers, and tanagers. The open landscape makes it easy to observe birds around the property.

Raptor sightings are especially good during the dry season (December to April). Scarlet Macaws and Ferruginous Pygmy-Owls are year-round residents. Hummingbird activity increases with blooming trees during the rainy season (August to November).
Birding is productive year-round, but December through April offers the driest conditions and best chances for raptors. May through July bring lush gardens and fewer visitors.
